Braden McKinley, Prouducer /
Director
Braden has been the producer of all the plays at Proud Annie and has
directed and acted in more than a few. He plans to continue the now
established tradition of "good food, enjoyable entertainment at an
affordable price AND the most fun you can have with your clothes
on!" He thanks the thousands of Proud Annie patrons, his Chef
James Turner, all of the casts, servers and staff throughout the
years that has made it so. And he thanks God for all gifts bestowed
and his loyal and trusty steeds, "Proud" and "Annie" of which the
theatre derives its name. |

She has starred in many of our productions and has directed more
than a few herself. Her hometown is Washington DC and she has done
theatre for years in the DC Maryland area. A retired funeral

Colette Turner as "Danilou"

is not new to acting. She has worked "Summer Stock" in various
regions of the country and was brought here by her husband, Proud
Annie Chef James Turner to share her many talents. She and Jim make
their home in Bristol, Tennessee and both have become an integral
part of what Proud Annie hopes to accomplish as the
Tri-Cities Premier Gourmet Dinner Theatre |

Miriam Story as Marie
Actor: Miriam Story has been a friend and fan of Proud Annie for
about 3 years. She first learned about PA from some of her students
at David Crockett High School where she is in her 16th year as
School Counselor. Dead-In Diner is her third
play with Proud Annie, after being the bride in Wedding
from Hell and the cheerleader in Fatal
Football Fever. Miriam is a graduate of The University
of North Carolina at Greensboro and East Tennessee State University.
She has made her home in Johnson City since 1981. Her greatest
treasures are her two young adult children, Rachel and Joe and lots
and lots of wonderful friends. Miriam has no designs on Broadway
or Hollywood; she's just having fun in local theatre! |

Danny Quillen as Hank
Actor: Danny majored in Speech & Drama at Union College but
changed majors 6 hours short, switching to a degree in history with
an endorsement in Library Science. He began acting in High School
and performed eight of the ten plays produced at Union. His stint in
the US Army included touring Germany with a group of other army
actors performing one-act plays at American bases throughout
Germany. Returning to the States, he performed dinner theater roles
on the west coast. He had taken a twenty-year hiatus from acting
until moving to Tennessee. Here he has performed for some businesses
doing video commercials and does an annual recurring role in the
outdoor drama "Liberty" at Sycamore Shoals. This is Dannys third
production at Proud Annie. He makes his home in Gray, TN, is single
and enjoys dancing. |

Dennis Beamer as SNAKE:
Dennis was born in Kingsport Tennessee and raised by a great single
mom and three older sisters. Dennis has had a yearning to act for
sometime. It was one of his "bucket list" items
along with riding his motorcycle at 100 mph,
riding a hot air balloon and raising great kids.
So far, he says he is batting a thousand.
He guesses he needs to add some more items to
his list. Dead-End Diner is his first (and he
says) hopefully not my last play. His favorite phrase is
something his mother said, "Enough is enough and too much is
nasty" He thinks this will make a good country song someday.
Wellmaybe? |

Calvin Robinson actor: as
Sam Calvin is new to Proud Annie and has many experiences
from which to draw in his acting endeavor. He has a BS from NCSU
and is president of the Buncombe Beekeepers in Asheville NC. He has
a keen interest in history and writes about many subjects at
www.helium.com He is a civil service worker by day but enjoys
beekeeping, selling raw honey, flying hot air balloons and building
children's playhouses in his spare time. He has a goal of getting a
masters degree in story telling from ETSU someday. Being a former
park ranger, and former federal investigator, his role as Sam
provides Calvin an opportunity to have some fun with cop
stereotypes. |
